Samantha Almost 16

Our beautiful daughter, almost 16.  every year just before she changes her age, i shoot Polaroids. titled “almost” . I started when she was almost 4, then almost 5, then 6.   now 16.  always a difficult shoot. always manual, no metering, no electronics or flash.  these were taken with a 1950′s era crown graphic on type 79 Polaroid.  I think maybe i shoot this project on the eve of her change as a way of trying to hold her back and stall the inevitable. as you can see they grow up regardless of our efforts.

    WOW!!! 16…it is hard to believe!!! I love this shoot…the almost series is always my favorite & I am one of the lucky few to have seen every almost series! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!!!
