WiebLab
I’m usually bragging about and announceing our own photography workshops on our blog, but today i thought i mention someone else’s.. That being our friends the Wiebners. Its a two day workshop in Lancaster PA, with two of the most talented and down to earth photographers that are in simple words very in love with photography… Check out their site www.thewiebners.com and their workshop WiebLab (be quick because i’m sure it’ll sell out fast).
I Wanna go!!

Tampa FL. The DWF convention. One week in Florida and i only shot 24 frames. This convention was different for us this time around because we didnt speak like the last 2 times. This time we just sat and learned, and learned, and learned, and of course we were inspired by all the great speakers. The talent that was all around the DWF convention whether up on the stage or hanging out in the bar was immense. Even though my tape and epoxy repaired glasses didnt make it all the way through, we did and we are coming home energized and full of ideas all ready to tear up 2008 in the only way altf can.

Brooke and Josh.
Very cool couple. Shot downtown. There is a lot walking to do when we shoot downtown, i think the best part of that is that i get to chat alot and find out how interesting the couples are. After we finished the session, Josh headed off to have his first ever In-n-Out burger. hmmmm..

Someone was telling me about In-n-Out just the other day. I had never heard of it before then. Such is life on the East Coast.

in high school i topped out at a 115 lbs., programed in 5 languages, had a serious white boy fro, and always had my glasses in disrepair. 24 years later and a new year and i say to myself, yeah i’m finally cool! Seconds later, delivered by “short circle karma”, i hit myself in the face with the refrigerator door. Glasses snapping in half cleanly. It’ll be two weeks before i get new glasses in (read special order progressive trifocals) . So if you look for me in tampa next week, i’ll be the nerdy one minus the fro of-course… HAPPY NEW YEAR !
What were the languages? COBOL, BASIC, Pascal, C, FORTRAN and… hmmm… ADA?
-Simon (Recovering nerd also…)
hi simon,
that would be COBOL, RPG-II and III, Fortran 4, a little pascal, BASIC of course, and some Assembly.
Too Funny!!! Have to say though you are still cool even with the tape!
I’m afraid I’m going to have to give in and start the bi-focals. All those little numbers on the top of my nikon are starting to get fuzzy unless I look “under” my glasses.
Be Cool!
db
that is awesome. coolness is a state of mind.
uggghhh..and I am missing a great “make fun of John moment”. Take note—by this time next year photographers all around the world will have tape on their glasses—”John does it…so it must be cool”.

Beyond in love with your work! I found you through the unbride blog and one picture was enough to take my breath away! … Now I look through your old work and find your comment from earlier today - it was a sign. I had to tell you your work is breathtaking!
