Leaving Las Vegas Group.
A concept shot just for the leaving las vegas group out at spring mountain ranch. Jodi our beautiful friend volunteered to model this special dress from designer Charles Change-Lima. The dress like our “william tell” shot was loaned to us by Couture Bride, they have the most beautiful designer dresses. The shot was inspired by an upcoming Anti-bridal that i have sketched out and then with a little ideal i got from watching a marilyn manson video. More regular pretty shots of Jodi to follow.

Published in Rangefinder.
If you are a professional wedding or portrait photographer this is the magazine to be in. For me its a surreal dream come true, from being told that brides just would not want the type of image i had in my vision to having those same pictures published in the Magazine that is the standard of this industry. wow! i’m sooooo haaappy!
The Rangefinder website, and the article.
John & Dalisa, we’re totally thrilled for you guys! Of course, we’ve been jumping and applauding you for years now. But it’s always a real boost when even more hands are added to that happy sound of clapping.
You continue to keep your personal bar set at a very high level, and you make many others like myself want to continue to stretch ourselves creatively to keep our vision in shape.
What an accomplishment! Congrats.
John, You Frickin’ RAWK!!!!!
Yeah, you go Man! I am so happy for the both of you guys!
Like I told you before, finding your work and seeing that a photographer can do their own thing, be separate from the masses, and still make a living is what inspired me to go in business for myself.
That is so awesome, can’t wait to get my copy and read all about how cool the interviewer finds you!
You have been great to me with responding to emails and questions over the years and I appreciate it!
Congrats!
Sincerely,
daryl
i have been awe for a long time now, I am so excited to see you get the attention and appreciation you deserve.
thanks for your knowledge and all the energy you both pour into the hearts all of us!
peace.
maria
John - Huge congrats and hugs to both you and Dalisa! I am so glad you are finally getting the recognition you so richly deserve. Long live alternative ideas! Miss you guys! Hugs - Rita

An Anti-Bridal.
I don’t do them very often, maybe once a year. Its all about waiting for the right person, right place and right time. This time everything was right. Lauren, the bride to be (getting married in May), makes an absolutely stunning target. The target itself was hand painted by Lauren’s mother, Lesli, who is a beautifully talented artist (things come full circle). The dress, now my absolute favorite, is an amazingly gorgeous Vera Wang that was loaned to us by Dawn at Couture Brideknowing all too well what fate other dresses have had at our hands. That is trust. Not to mention, Nick (you can see lauren and nicks engagement photos here) was a quick study with a crossbow, a good man doesnt need any practice shots.

WOW! Is that really me?? You never sieze to amaze me….
Wow gorgeous model/bride! Love the last shot ![]()
John!!!
First, let me congratulation you on your newly published article! Fabulous…and well deserved!
These pics just blew me away. They are really, truly phenomenal. I think you are absolutely, undeniably brilliant in so many ways.
Lesli
UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! Seriously, one of the sickest, if not THE sickest, shoots I’ve seen! You never cease to amaze, inspire and totally blow me away. Nice work John!
Sweet shots. Love the series. The second one kicks ass. I left a better comment on DBUI, but it’s gone :/
John, these are amazing! It was great to meet you at the Anti Workshop!
You must be as mad as a box of frogs!!!
But i do have a sneaking admiration for you, great images.
I saw your own picture from Sep 1976 blog archives and thought perhaps it was an early, beginning to this William Tel-ish image! Very enjoyable and entertaining…

This week we are kicking off (I’ll say) the best workshop yet - Antiworkshop: Vegas. A combination of talent, smarts and absurdity - you can figure out where we fit into that. Also, we are looking to add just a few more models to the mayhem. If you are interested in modeling for the anti-crew on Thursday, March 13 - please email dalisa at dalisa@altf.com

An update for the Very Altf tour for July and August - the first day of Atlanta and Lancaster are both full and the second days are half full - so if you want to get in on this action, now is better than later. We have also opened up Denver for August 18th - details to follow…

Pam and Stan
March 8, 2008 Cili at Bali Hai Golf Club. It was a beautiful day with gorgeous light. Stan and Pam were just so easy going and really the perfect couple to start off my very busy month as well as kick off an exciting wedding season.

Congrats you two - it was a gorgeous day…
