A little stormy weather engagement session.

Cerah and Jason
A little stormy weather engagement session.

We were so lucky to have you as our surprise guest John, it was killer to meet you.

Melissa and Rob.
Another beautiful wedding at the Paiute. I like the Paiute because it shows off how beautiful the desert can be rather then hiding it behind some waterfalls… I especially like all of the joshua trees and wild flowers. At the top, Melissa and Rob seem so content and together in the flowers which happens to be my favorite image from their wedding.

That first shot is gorgeous!

B.C. and Colleen
How to define cool, well B.C. and Colleen would be a good starting point. Everything just seemed so hip and stylish at their wedding at Red Rock Station and with a reception at Cherry Night Club.. My favorite part, well that was Colleen’s super sexy dress from Couture Bride that just called out 40’s Hollywood glamour.

JMC - these are awesome. She looks amazing and I love how her style inspired these pictures. Rock on my friend. Miss you guys.
seriously cool… love it…
I have to add in my 2 cents… besides the last image (taken by a truly amazing photographer…aaahhh hhhmm) the second image is my absolute favorite! Colleen’s expression and the way she is standing with her hand there makes you wonder what her thought was right at that moment. I love just the slight show of BC’s hand - enough to let you know he’s there. Brilliant Shot!

Staysi & David
A very pink wedding at a very cool location: The Las Vegas Art Museum.
This couple were so free spirited and friendly - I truly enjoyed the day. I will let the images speak for themselves…

stunning. i love both your interpretation and their vision of pink. that’s awesome.
awesome venue…have they always allowed weddings/receptions there?

Göteborg rockar fett

It rocked having u here John Michael! I felt really sad when u left. I never spend time with my friends - either i´m to busy or I don´t have the energy. Now I had u to hang out with for three days in a row - so it felt like I lost a friend when u left - even though we hardly know eachother! Maybe this will be my alarm clock to start making time for my friends or I won´t have any left!
I know u can check out the pictures on the attending peoples blogs but apart from Erikas (who write in english) u won´t understand them. To translate what I have seen on all of the blogs is that everyone are overexcited and happy about the workshop!
I hope i´ll see u again sometime in the future!
Hugs on ya!!!
John,
I couldn’t make it to Gothenburg (it’s a bit too long of a travel - expensive), but I know how excited Jenny has been planning this and how happy she was when it was over, that it was such a huge success!
I hope you and your better half could come to Sweden again and visit, and perhaps we can meet half way - in Stockholm or something.
Love your images from the workshops!
Thank you so much for the workshop! It really inspired me and made me start rethinking things in my business - starting to see outside the box
I’ll email you the picture I shot of you and the BIG lens soon as well.
Thanks again!
//Karin

Big NEWs!
It is not just a convention for wedding photographers, the DWFConvention is “the” convention for the worlds most progressive and edgy wedding photographers period. And….. Guess what? For the 3rd time we have been asked to speak and present at this industry leading event, and we are in a headline role along side of some of our favorite photographers… The best of the best will be there… What are we going to do? Well, for the 1st convention, we shot a real wedding, made a full flushmount album overnight that was presented by a GI-Joe ninja, played with inflatable palm trees and we showed off a Bride on Fire. For the 2nd convention we went out into the desert along with world famous David Beckstead, and we stuffed a bride in a trunk with a shovel carrying groom just after we tossed a camera 30′ and dropped it (we sold that camera for charity) and the shovel went on to travel the world and get its own website….. And what do we have planned for the ‘09 convention? We’ll show you everything we can do in the DARK. Well…. maybe not everything…
Umm..getting excited. I will for SHO be there. ![]()

Brittany and Devin
San Diego, CA and La Jolla. What can I say, just beautiful places… throw a good looking couple in the mix that happens to be triathletes and this extended engagement session yields just too many good images to be held in this blog. So, thanks to David Jay, I’ve recently started to play around with some slide show software for the web… take a look at their slide show HERE. Also, I’ve just started to tweek down some custom presets which hopefully will make my tight workflow even tighter… Brittany and Devin, I hope you don’t mind me experimenting on your images. Its just about that time again to re-invent myself.

I LOVE the one with the grandpa and kid. But then, I am sure you could have guessed that. =)
John - oh my goodness. We had high expectations and you’ve BLOWN US AWAY! I can’t even begin to describe the coolness level of all of this. Your images are EXTRAORDINARY.
That slideshow is WICKED. The timing to the tune is very tight & very cool; the image storyline is fantastic.
Re-invent yourself with us anytime!
Devin & Brittany
John, these photos rock. The last few on the beach are my favorites, and I love the look you gave to processing of the images.
John,
These are RIDIC! I love them all. ME-OW!
love them!
what an awesome tree! hot couple too! ![]()
Dang, that’s a big tree. And the one lying in the sand reminds me of the David Yurman ads which I love. I use ShowIt for almost all of my sessions as it’s a great way to market. I also add a Stat Counter (http://statcounter.com/) code to the index.html file and track how far the slide show travels.
One of my favorite shoots thus far. Just…WOW.

I LOVE the shots with the clock - it does not even look like Vegas, especially with the super cool weather!
