Memory Lane Video

When Ricky and John, our favorite local videographers, asked us if we could do some simple head shots for an article of them to be featured in Las Vegas Bride, I said “head shots?, I think we can do a little better than that.  So, off to the desert to get the countries best dressed videographers just a little dirty.  What do you expect?  We are altF, by the way.   I just loved instructing “yeah, just lay down in the dirt and roll around…” that has to be liberating some how…  of course, I’m just a boy at heart and love anything that deals with dirt…  BTW… each image is a multiple frame, multiple flash exposure made up of 6-7 frames a piece.

Nelson, NV

For someone who knows Nevada pretty well, I seemed to have missed shooting in this little gem of a town (if it is even big enough to be considered a town).  Several of my peers here locally and also several others from out of state have been using this location for a while.  I feel like such a “johnny come lately” - especially since this is in my home state and it is only about a 50 minute drive from my house…   Anyway, Nelson is a cool little place to explore and the people that run it are just super down to earth.

Awesome images from this place! I have already mapquested it! We are moving to outside of the Barstow area in December and this is on my list of places I want to shoot while living there for a couple of years! If you have any other cool ghost towns that are fun to shoot, please let me know!! I love this kind of stuff!
    Thanks for sharing!

Jesh De Rox life (as an artform) experienitial workshop

June 28th, 2008

life (as an art-form), experiential workshop.  Right in the middle of last month I had the opportunity to travel to Edmonton, Canada to hang out with my good friend Jesh De Rox for a few days.  Besides being lucky enough to spend time with Jesh again, I also had a chance to participate a little in his experiential workshop as a surprise guest speaker.  If you haven’t been to one of Jesh’s workshops or had the opportunity to hear him speak, the best way to describe it would be that “it is to be experienced”.  Even though I was there to teach just a little, I went away with far more than I left… what I learned will most likely influence my photography and life for some time to come.  Here are few images of the couple that we shot during one of the sessions.   Much thanks to all those that attended, to Jesh, and especially Theresa for such a wonder time.  As Jesh says often “much love”

What a nice wedding.  You could not have asked for a better day for an all outdoor event.  Everything was beautiful, even the surprise traditional dances which included the best man in lederhosen.  So cool.  I guess I don’t really need to travel the world to see it all.

As most do not know yet,  Dalisa is building her own wedding photography brand under the altF label.  Here, on one of her solo excursions, she shoots Katie and Mikes gorgeous wedding out at the Paiute.  In the not to distant future we will complete and debut her own website which will feature a more softer side of the altF brand.

More from Gothenburg, Sweden

i know, i’ve been slow to post.  But a flood of posts it coming this way i promise.  To start it off here is a session i did with Jenny Blad and her husband Robert while i was in Gothenburg.  You just cant beat a cool location like this, top of hill overlooking a beautiful city with a fort and cannons all around.  i definitely want to go back there badly.

BTW.  Jenny Blad in my opinion gets the title of “Most Supreme Parallel Parker in the World” . If i wasn’t in the car when she parked this i would not of believed it.

Please come back to Sweden, greek dinner´s on me next time,, mucho thanks bye the way!!

Nick and Lauren

One ultra cool wedding at the Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas for Nick and Lauren.  If Lauren looks familiar, she is one of our very few “anti” brides. Both Lauren and Nick modeled for us earlier this year for our “william tell” shoot.  I really can’t wait to shoot their bridal.
