A gorgeous wedding, a beautiful couple and a rockin’ evening at Cili at Bali Hai Golf Club - you just can’t go wrong with that combination. I (and I am sure Michelle & Brady too) are excited to see what the fantastic crew over at Memory Lane Video captured for them - but for now, a few still images will have to do!

There were so many great images of this playful couple that it was hard to narrow down the favorites for the blog. A great engagement session never fails to leave us in an even greater daze of anticipation for the wedding day.
Rebecca and Chris play so well together and are a genuine, down-to-earth duo. Thanks for a great time, you two!

I love JMC’s newest techniques. The lights hit just the right spots. Very nice, very nice!
We were out for a bit - Punta Cana, Dominican Republic certainly proved to be a great setting for an amazing wedding… pictures to follow very soon.
But rest assured, we are back at work (I must say a bit reluctantly) but there is no time for rest during this time of year… we will be hittin’ it hard around the clock until December 24th - then you can bet we will be on a 100%, full vacation with our two lovely daughters. ‘Tis the season!

Just one of those really cool couples that is hard to take a bad picture of. From their engagement session to pictures at the temple we just couldn’t miss, but my favorites of the whole day was just before the reception when we were out of light and i got a chance to play with my low light skills pull off some stunning images.

i love the lighting on the last image. can you share what you guys did? are those individual stobes? multiple frames? or long exposure and a flood light?
Hey John! I have a quick question for you…how in the world did you get that last shot? It looks like there is an individual spotlight on each one of their faces! I’m dying to know how you worked it out like that! The picture is AMAZING.

Ricci & Blair - a perfect couple for a day of portraits. Their wedding at the Paiute Golf Course was exceedingly elegant. Not only is the property in itself beautiful but add in Flowers from Naakiti, ice from Ice Occasions, Video by Memory Lane, hair & make up by Lori White and impeccable choices on Ricci’s behalf and you have a smooth and flawless event.
Below - the super sleek wedding party… I think John had a few of the guys concerned…

The McLellans **updated**
Strange how some of my ideas get from my sketch book to reality. It was near the end of July when i just happened to be strutting through Elvis’s living-room pondering a peanut butter and banana sandwich when i mentioned to the noticeable pregnant McLellans that i have wanted to shoot a maternity bridal session in front of an old air stream, ala trailer park anti bridal…. well a few months later and the super cool McLellans flew out all the way from Nashville to let me play dress up with them… So while channeling a peanut butter and banana sandwich i give you the Fabulous McLellans as my latest anti-bridal “trailer park bride” .
big thanks first to the McLellans for flying all the way out here, 2nd for Mikka at Tuxedo Junction for supplying us with a vintage powder blue tux, and 3rd but not least Hoss for allowing us to spill beer on his driveway while also allowing us the use of a pre ’70s Silver Streak.**update…ok when i originally posted, i totally forgot to give proper credit to this last image. while shooting with the door open our daughter, Ros, said we should put them in door facing one another.. well i tried it out and just before i started to shoot someone said that it looked very Norman Rockwell-ish. Sorry Ros, i forgot to give you your due credit…. thanks so much, now if you can just be there for all of our shoots….

a little downtown engagement session with Liz and Robert… one cool couple that allowed me to be creative, creative to me is sometimes just the sum of my experiments.. here’s one at the very bottom, an idea thats not totally complete but well on its way….
