I should never take full credit for the images that i capture, nor should i boast, “…and because of my ass kicking photography skills…” – which should be a relief to those that frequent photographer’s blogs.

In all reality, the good work we strive to achieve mostly falls to the exceptional clientele that we attract. Case in point:  David and Diana’s wedding at the Beautiful Red Rock Casino. With Diana and David’s chemistry together and their ease in front of the camera it was hard not to take a good picture of this stunning couple.  I even told them just to face away from me and they will still look gorgeous.

So if I’m feeling a little proud of these wedding images then I should also claim that it was a collaboration of a well assembled team.  First, a really great venue that has a great staff and loads of different locations to shoot.  Second, a great planner, Juliet of Green Orchid Events, for making everything go so well and leaving us with more than enough time for pictures, and also a great video team from MLV which actually helped me light several of the key images here.. see Even here, I have to credit some random couple in the hallway for some of my cute couch poses. Diana, David and I were walking through the hall for one last posed shot and I saw this young couple making out off to the side and I said, ” hey, just copy what that couple is doing over there”  ..  Thank you “random couple” for making out in the right spot..

David and Diana, thank you for a beautiful event and helping me get great images.  .jmc.

ps.  a day after bridal at the boneyard.

I LOVE that first picture, it’s so non-wedding and full of foreboding and drama.

  • Super hot! And I’m loving the number of images posted. Of all the people that photograph a couple against that wall at the Red Rock, no one has ever come up with that pose – congrats on being innovators.

I can hardly wait to see the entire collection. What a great eye! I can imagine it was not difficult getting fabulous photos of such a beautiful couple. =)

John these photos are breathtakingly beautiful! We love your creativity and are so honored to have been able to work with you. You have inspired David and I to become better photographers … we even were “channeling” your style as we attempted to take well-composed shots on our honeymoon . . . needless to say, our pics will never compare to your work. Thanks for giving us such beautiful memories to share with our family and friends!

You’re right…the couple does look so at ease! I’m sure your skill has something to do with it. The “back” picture is outstanding.

No need to boast, your work speaks volumes of what you pre visualize deep in your mind. It’s not about the equipment but the creator behind the view finder and how you chose to bring all the compositional elements into reality—so give yourself credit! One of things I love about you is you are never complacent. you’re always moving forward and looking for a new to capture your subject. A good looking couple like diana and david make it look easy but more importantly it’s the trust they have in your ability by giving you the freedom to just be john. You inspire everyone you come in contact with—keep pushing it up!
