Heidi and Marcus

February 23rd, 2010

A little bit of Houston and a whole lot of New Orleans - this magnetic couple brought the fun to Vegas!

And the very talented Missy Moran was Heidi’s make up artist

The Four Seasons - one of our favorite locations to work with.  I think I have said this before but you really can’t find better hospitality and atmosphere than what is offered at the lush property.

With the coordination of Ms. La Chanda Jenkins and the talent of Naakiti Floral, this room made you swoon with excitement as soon as you walked in. lounge Decor provided by Barker Decor Service

Ooohh…. my new joy, the Second line, a New Orleans tradition.  I participated in a second line a few years ago and fell in love with the energy and laughter that emerges from the group.  Heidi and Marcus’s friends and family brought it back home, I was torn between taking the photos and joining in, so I did a little of both.

And of course, the party wasn’t complete until Spinderella came in to work her magic on the crowd

Suzi & Terrance Lighten of Lighten films were there to capture all of the magic! Click here to see the trailer they put together!

It was a great celebration and more fun than I was prepared for but then John took these two out for a bridal session the next day and worked his own magic

Just gorgeous.  Heidi and Marcus - congratulations on your new life together, I truly hope our paths cross again sometime.  Thank you again for allowing us to capture your heart felt event.

Nikki and Eddie - Bridal Session

February 23rd, 2010

You might recall these two hotties from their engagement & wedding post - they had a gorgeous event at Red Rock Casino last October and we were lucky enough to get them back to our place for some great bridal portraits.  This time, The Dude was in tow..

k-i-l-l-e-r clouds, I really could not have asked for better weather.  It’s might have been freezing, but it looks great

The Dude is Nikki and Eddie’s 130 pound baby - he was so much fun and very well behaved, they are clearly great parents

And just like us, these two have a strong belief in champagne for any occasion - it just happens to be on our daily menu at the studio

N & E, Thanks for another fantastic day of beautiful photos and for bringing The Dude - my dog sitting offer still stands, we could have alot of fun together:)

grand opening party — success!

February 22nd, 2010

Yes, I Have Mariachi Pants!  Thank you Jimmy and Sanne!  Our grand opening party was a huge success, not just because I was wearing some of the coolest pants ever made, but because we had so many friends, family, clients and vendors that showed up to party and support us in a 23 year old dream to have our own studio.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  If you missed the party of the year, I will give you a small recap.  We had a Cool band doing some great covers - Dean Cortez, Greg Diaz and World Famous Drummer, Joe Esposito in form Southern CA, and killer DJ - Mike from Good Vibrations - spinning and keeping the party going and lighing up the studio making it more like a club, of course we have to hand it to Randi from Naakiti for transforming our ultra cool space to an even ULTRA-ER cool place, The crew at Ice Occasions for literally cooling some hotness down, JR Lighting for equipping us with some fun toys to play with, William Pfersching for providing the delicious cuisine, Lori White for making Dalisa beautiful and finally, to Loftworks for providing a unique and exsquisite location to fit our brand, lifestyle and business.

Ashley and TJ

February 22nd, 2010

We wanted something off of the beaten path for Ashley and TJ.  They are anything but typical and proof that great images do not have to be location dependent.  I love the cool feel and edgy taste of this session.

Of course, we couldn’t resist taking these two in-studio for some close ups.  The combination of their stunning features made our job all too easy.

We can’t wait for this duo’s Cabo wedding in May - just wait until you see those images!

Rick and Michelle, New York

February 8th, 2010

Who doesn’t love New York?  Even when it’s 17 degrees out side with whispy, harsh winds we still love it and now it brings us Rick and Michelle which is just another reason to love it!

These two bundled up for an afternoon of a lot of walking, some warm panini’s, delicious coffee and some tantalizing beer… oh, and a few pictures along the way.

Via Quadronno was a great little mid-day stop for some treats and we couldn’t help but love the looks of the place - they were more than accommodating for these two love birds

This was a fabulous day that made for great photos - we are looking forward to their warm June Wedding in Long Island!

Mikka & Greg

February 3rd, 2010

Where do I begin with this post?.. well, besides with some killer photos

Mikka is one of the most amazing women I know.  She’s a friend, a mentor and a true idol for me.  To have her and Greg in our studio for John to photograph is an honor.  Mikka is not just a a friend, she is also the owner of the best Tuxedo store in all of Las Vegas - Tuxedo Junction.  I have watched her make men even more handsome than they already are for their wedding day for years…. and before that, I watched her do the same for my man on our wedding day

But, of course, an amazing woman deserves nothing less than an amazing man - yes?  We were delighted to welcome Greg to the family

It’s always great memories and sincere laughter when Mikka and Greg are around - I hope some day you have the opportunity to be touched by this amazing couple.

February 2nd, 2010

Now pre-booking studio sessions!  We are now just almost a week away from our Grand Opening of our new studio and are taking bookings for studio sessions.  If you follow this blog and have always wanted to be photographed by altF then there is no better time to get on our calender and help us break in our new studio space.  Studio sessions fees are much lower than our regular bridal and engagement sessions, and if you call me directly to set up a session pre-grand opening, I’ll give you a pretty good deal.  My number is 702-493-1181.

What kind of sessions can we do in the studio?  Well, just about anything… bridals, pre-bridals, engagements, families, cars, fashion, headshots, pin-ups, boudoirs that don’t suck, and kids (I don’t have any damn fairy wings though and I’m not to cutesy with real little kids, FYI) .

thanks,

john michael cooper

Jennifer and Kevin

February 1st, 2010

Last wedding of 2009 - what a seriously wonderful way to wrap up.

Just the thought of Jennifer and Kevin makes me smile.  These two are the type of people that are infected with sincere and pure good and are completely meant for each other.  My personal fav is when we meet beautiful people that are beautiful on the inside as well - this is Jennifer and Kevin.

The infamous and stunning, Mrs. Randi Garrett of Naakiti Floral waved her magical wand over this spectacular event - transforming the already lovely property of the Four Seasons Las Vegas to a winter wonderland.

And the final touch of svelte chiavari chairs by Sit on This

The strikingly chic bridal party… the bridesmaids wore suits - probably the sexiest bridal party I’ve seen

This room was magical.  Isn’t it enough that the Four Seasons provides excellent service and hospitality?  The decadent art sculpture is, in fact a delicious cake designed by executive pastry chef & mastermind, Jean-Luc Daul of the Four Seasons.

And the first dance - can you feel the joy?  I wasn’t just the quick wit and talent of DJ Mike Fox that kept these two smiling, but the love you can so clearly see. I could not be happier for these two wonderful people and their new life together.  Jenn & Kevin are going to make a difference in peoples lives, now they are going to do it together.  Thank you for help us end a wonderful year with such a wonderful event.
