Charley and Michael… This is only a small percent of their story… a story that began 34 years prior, that was marked with a commitment ceremony 14 years after then their wedding 20 years later. I can only imagine all of the stories, adventures and memories that were created over the last 34 years. JMC and I were so completely honored to be there to capture their wedding day for them – we will offer just a tiny bit of the day for you to view.

We began at their home where they calmly prepared for their day and assisted each other with completing their polished look.

We then headed to the beautiful property of DragonRidge Country Club for this sweet ceremony where Michael and Charley read their own vows echoing words from the years past, exchanged rings, said their “I Do’s” and just as they did 20 years prior asked all guests to form a circle, join hands and pass a flag that represents their commitment and love for each other.  It’s a beautiful thing to witness, capture and something unique and different that we admire.

After a little bit of time on the golf course, it was time to take a peek at the florals and decor that Michael and Charley had worked on for months with Naakiti Floral and the room was breath-taking!  The Flawless cake was created by Gimme Some Sugar and echoed this hand drawn heart (sketched by Tina at Naakiti Floral) that was also on the flag passed at the ceremony and darling little take-home flags for the guests that were created by Paper and Home.

After a moment of cheer these two were on to their grand entrance, first dance, toasts, cake cutting and many, many hugs, laughs and even a few tears. On a personal level, Michael and Charley will not only be my inspiration on how to love but they will forever continue to inspire me to be the most genuine and caring person that I can possibly be. Their love, patience and goodwill exude and I am so thankful for that.  Congratulations, Michael and Charley – I know you said that you thought this day would never come but you two are the epitome of why it is so necessary for everyone to have the right to marry – especially those that are so in love!
