Nick and Robin – Wish Upon a Wedding

Wish Upon a Wedding – granting wishes for people that are so clearly in love but need the assistance to have a wedding of their dreams due to serious, life altering circumstances. That’s what I have been saying to those asking about this beautiful organization over the last year. Nick and Robins wedding day finally arrived and I certainly hope it was, in fact, a wedding not only of their dreams but beyond what they could have ever imagined. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to be allowed to witness it through the lens of my camera. What I captured is just a glimpse of the day and all I can hope is that I somehow captured some of the emotion that swept through this whirlwind of a day because it was there, I very much felt it simply because Nick and Robin allowed us to. These two really wear their heart on their sleeves and it’s so refreshing to me to witness true, honest love.

I simply adore Nick’s expression at the first site of his bride.

In exchange of reading their vows out loud while at the alter, their pre-recorded vows to each other were played over a speaker for each of them to hear for the first time. Nick and Robin were not alone with their tears and laughter.

On to the portraits! This is when I feel extremely lucky to have such a talented portrait artist as a husband. Just as I did for Nick and Robin’s engagement session I called upon JMC to photograph these two while I captured the small moments in between.

Party time! And it was a party indeed. My cheeks were sore by the end of the night from smiling so much. Robin has a keen love of dolphins and unicorns and the crew over at Enchanted Florist rocked it like no other! Even the cake was adorned fabulously!

I absolutley love my title as “wish granter” – I accept it as a major honor and I am very proud of it. This entire venture has really made me stop and think. I am a better person because of this organization, this opportunity and this couple. It’s me who’s wish has been granted – my wish to help others and share a talent that has been given to me. Thank you, Nick and Robin, for granting me so much joy.
