Blog post by John Michael Cooper, Photos by Danielle DeBruno and John Michael Cooper

We usually don’t separate our wedding posts in two parts, but for Kim and Sasha’s wedding it is a must for several reasons: First, to allow the brand new Smith Center to shine as one of the most grand and fabulous places to have a wedding in Las Vegas. For me, The Smith Center and our downtown’s renaissance over the past several years is the definitive response to the reoccurring statement by transplanted residents: “but las vegas has no culture”. Las Vegas does have society and culture and now The Smith Center is our easy answer to that. Second, along with the inspiring art-deco of Reynolds hall was the opulent floral and event design from none other than NYC’s famous event designer Preston Bailey as well as a cake made by the Queen of Cakes herself, Sylvia Weinstock. The details alone are enough fill a volume or two, let alone a small blog post. And third and most important, to show off the talent of one of our other photographers. When the planning of this wedding threw us a curve ball at zero hour, Danielle DeBruno came in and saved us at the last minute to fill out our five photographer crew and photographed all of the amazing details below that filled The Smith Center. Enjoy!
