With so many desert locations nearby, I tend to neglect Lake Mead as an option most of the time. But if you have a boat, there are some beautiful seldom used vistas available as the perfect backdrop for portraits. Just happens that Amanda and family are fans of Lake Mead and are out there quite often on a boat. They picked the location and we shot with the light. As for maternity portraits, what a perfect time to document the whole family as well.
