Travel for engagement sessions? Absolutely, especially if it’s a place we haven’t been to before. The Tetons, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the U.S., has long been on my list of places I need to explore. While talking to Faye and David about their wedding photography, we started talking about hiking and parks and they had mentioned that they loved and just recently visited the Tetons. Well that was all I needed to jump in and suggest, “Hey, let’s do your engagement session there”. It’s an understatement to say the I was thrilled when they said yes. You can’t ask for a better better backdrop for an engagement session and that whole question of whether we need to go to a place that I’ve photographed before is answered the same as always – absolutely not. My work will be just as creative at a place I’ve never been to if not more.
