ritz carlton lake las vegas wedding

This wonderful couple from Nebraska, Jenny and Josh, had such a beautiful wedding at the always gorgeous Ritz Carlton at Lake Las Vegas.  I love it when a day just comes together with nice little surprises, like after the first meeting we went out on the grounds to do some pre-ceremony portraits and there just happened to be a vintage car show going on…  Me and classic cars, thats just a nice mix.  It didn’t take much to talk our way into using one as a prop for a few images.

This classic window-light bridal image of Jenny just stood out as one of my favorites of the day mostly because the cute little flower girl had no idea that I was taking pictures of Jenny while she looked out the window.  This shot was in the bridal room right next to the Chapel Fiorenza.

The ceremony was held in the Chapel Fiorenza, which, although I’ve been to the Ritz Carlton so often, this was the first time that I was allowed to shoot in the chapel since it is no longer concessioned and is now part of the Ritz Carlton Weddings.  Its beautiful and has a nice old-world feel leaving it very unlike the standard “Las Vegas” style chapel.

I have to give the staff at the Ritz Carlton Lake Las Vegas a lot of credit.  Not just for their standard superb service, but thier ability to quickly change things up when mother nature throws some very strong wind at an outdoor reception. After the ceremony, realizing the wind was too strong, they moved the entire reception indoors while myself and the wedding party took a short gondola ride and a few more after ceremony portraits.  They didn’t miss a beat.

After the reception Jenny changed into this cute little dress and we were off to the strip for some street wedding photography Las Vegas Blvd style.    I just love the image below..

thanks Jenny and Josh,  I had fun and someday I hope to find myself in Nebraska.
