day 9 Memphis!
Memphis. Big thanks to Jake Morrow for hosting us, Lisa for allowing us to park at her house, and Rob, Olivia, Jack and Sophie for entertaining our dogs while we played with the memphis crew. above is Savannah and Phillip for our engagement demo (they are getting married in a couple of weeks – congrats.)
Below a concept shot based around some conversations about memphis, a small bit of research, and of course me wanting to play with an iconic image. Darius and Savannah played models for us and i made it a 5 frame multiple flash shot with a single sb800.
First of all, that multiple flash shot of Darius and Savannah ROCKS. So cool. Second, I just wanted to thank you guys for posting the videos in addition to the photos. It’s so fun to get to see what the shoot looks like, the lighting, where the photographers are situated versus what the photos look like. Plus, seeing John down on the ground shooting and seeing his students shooting all around him is a kick. Thanks!!
Hello out there my traveling gypsies! Come home soon please! Glad to see you’re having fun, I’m so addicted to watching, it’s kind of like big brother! Nonetheless, Vegas is not the same without you two, but it looks are if you’re having too much fun. Miss you guys.

Oh my god, you guys are killing it! What an incredible adventure! And to share it with us? You both are amazing… more amazing everyday! And listen, Tammy and i just jumped out of an airplane at 15,000 feet yesterday… and we want you to go with us next time, and take the photos in the air… we’re going to dress up in wedding garb!
