Day 10

In Memphis, getting the special tour by Jake before we head off down the road…   First stop Graceland, yes… I said Graceland… ELVIS ELVIS ELVIS.

Soaking up Memphis we had to have a Peanut butter and banana sandwich… the Elvis special.

After lunch (while we were still enjoying the part of the sandwich that lingered on the roofs of our mouths), we went down to the National Civil Rights Museum.  Like most museums, they tend to be closed on the days that we arrive….  there’s always next time.

a quiet moment.  It was strange to look over the mundane scene and realize that such a dark moment in american history happened just a few feet away…..  someday we’ll all learn..

I just have to ask if it rained – lol.

And this line made me laugh loud enough to wake the sleeping people in this house “Like most museums, they tend to be closed on the days that we arrive…. ” Closed Tuesdays. Who would have thunk . . .

    Be safe –
    ~Peter
